We are planning to have Plus Lessons in the Fall of 2026, however it will depend on how many Dancers are interested in taking the Plus Lessons, in order for there to be Plus Lessons in our 2026 Fall Session of Lessons.

Our 2026 Fall Session of Basic/Mainstream Lessons, and the Plus Lessons, are scheduled to begin with a Free Open House on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Trinity Church of Austin, located at 4001 Speedway, Austin, Texas 78751. The Basic/Mainstream (Beginner) Lessons will be from 7:15 pm to 8:45 pm, and the Plus Lessons will be from 8:45 pm to 9:45 pm.

The purpose of the Open House Night is to meet and greet, and introduce people, who are new to Square Dancing, to basic Square Dance calls. And for those who have already graduated from the Basic/Mainstream Lessons, have been Square Dancing regularly for six months to a year, and are interested in taking the Plus Lessons, there will be introduction to some of the Plus Square Dance calls.

In order to take the Plus Square Dance Lessons, you should have graduated from the Basic/Mainstream Lessons at least 6 months prior, have been dancing regularly since that time, and have a good understanding of all the Basic/Mainstream calls.

​​

After the Open House event, Plus Lessons will be on Thursday evenings at this same location, from 8:45 pm to 9:45 pm.

​

There will also be Line Dance moves taught in between the Square Dance segments.

 

Come join us, meet new people, participate in the Square Dancing and the Line Dances, and have some fun!

 

If you are an experienced Square Dancer, come be a Square Dance Angel for those that are being introduced to Square Dancing for the first time. 

​

If you would like to take the Plus Lessons, be sure to let us know when you come to the Open House (or prior to the Open House Night), so we can sign you up for those Lessons. This will let us know how many peoplewe have interested in taking the Plus Lessons.

​

Trinity Church of Austin is at the corner of 40th Street and Speedway, the parking lot is across the street (40th Street) from the church, and you will need enter the church through the 40th Street entrance.  Water, coffee and refreshments will be provided.
